Low rate of metabolism: An individual can have a low metabolism for many reasons. Lack of exercise, stress, aging and unhealthy diets are the main reasons that affect metabolism procedure in the human body. Many people are under the misconception that crash diets are a form of short cut to losing weight. Crash diets are one reason why some have low metabolism. When they starve for long period, and once they start eating, body end up storing large number of calories, this may increase your weight.

Hormone imbalance: People get affected instantly with the change in Hormones. With the aging process, human body tends to get some hormonal changes. Indirectly these changes make it harder for a body to lose weight.
